Woof! I am Leroy, a 5-year old Rotti and I live in the Adelaide Hills with Sarah & Ian. I was born in New Zealand and before I was even 10 weeks old found myself on an aeroplane to South Australia. The reason I am telling you this is that I have always felt deep down that I was born to travel and explore which is probably a good thing as something is going on and I think changes are afoot.

Up until quite recently, my family was a large one. It included horses, other dogs and cats. However, one by one the others have gone and now there is only me left. I don’t mind too much as I now get all the attention which is great but life can be a little bit quiet without more friends.

Life has been a bit strange recently. Aside from the other animals leaving, people have been coming to the property and taking items that I thought belonged to us, Gumtree is a new word in my vocabulary but I have no idea what it means. What items weren’t taken by strangers now seem to live in the car rather than the house. I LOVE the car…… If I had a wish it would be to take a really, really, long road trip!

What other things do I like? Definitely the sea. We don’t get to visit often, but when we do it is the best day. I think I would like to spend more time by the sea. The forest is another of my favourite places and is where my profile picture was taken.

And running. Despite being 50kg I consider myself a fast runner. More so over short distances but I do love to get up some speed, particularly if there is something worthwhile to chase. I think this is the only time that I am annoying as I cannot, for the life of me, understand why I should stop my running, return to Sarah and Ian and have my lead put on. I have a tactic for this, I pretend I can’t hear them!

Otherwise, I am friendly, laid back and like to sleep. Oh, I nearly forgot. I have a new harness which is really cool. It’s the first one I have had and I look super smart when it’s on, especially at night when the LEDs come on. I am hoping to get out more and show it off!
